Carol S. Jarvis, 79, of Sedalia, died Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Pallbearers will be Aric Jarvis, Jeff Divelbiss, David Miller, Mark Hoehne, Zack Thomas and Hunter Jenkins. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Salisbury. Prayers of the rosary will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with visitation to follow until 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Sacred Heart Church, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.

Born December 31, 1933 in Salisbury, MO, she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Ida Bange Rowling. On August 25, 1953 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salisbury, she was united in marriage to her husband of 60 years, Victor Jarvis, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are four sons, Stan Jarvis (Bea), of Sedalia, Rich Jarvis (Cindy), of Horn Lake, MS, Cliff Jarvis (Debbie), of Columbia and Matt Jarvis (Suzette), of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Sandy Jenkins, of Warrensburg; three sisters; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Jarvis was a life long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a loving wife and mother
