A Carrolton man was killed on July 14 after being ejected from a vehicle that overturned on CR 255 in Carroll County.

 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a Mercury traveled off the roadway around 12:20 a.m. and began to slide. It then overturned, ejecting 28-year-old Andrew Waters, who was killed in the accident. Waters' body was taken to Bittiker Funeral Home in Carrollton.

The driver of the vehicle, 30-year-old Dustin Goodale of Carrollton, suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment. Goodale was arrested for felony involuntary manslaughter, no insurance, careless and imprudent driving, and no seat belt. Goodale was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Chariton County Jail, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
