KANSAS CITY – Missouri’s resurgent automotive industry is bringing another leading automotive parts supplier and more jobs to the Kansas City region, Gov. Jay Nixon announced today.  Grupo Antolin North America will invest more than $15.7 million in a 150,000 square-foot automotive manufacturing facility to supply Ford’s Kansas City Assembly Plant, creating an estimated 118 new jobs.

Downtown Building Inspection Ordinance Tabled Again

At the Sedalia City Council meeting on Monday night (Nov.19), the council voted to once again delay a vote on the ordinance on mandatory inspections for buildings in downtown Sedalia. The delay came about as Ward 4 Councilman Larry Stevenson requested an amendment he had written be added to the ordinance. Three people came to the podium to protest the delay of the ordinance siting safety concerns.

The Warrensburg Police Department and the University of Central Missouri's Department of Public Safety conducted alcohol compliance checks of local businesses that possess liquor licenses on Oct. 31 and Nov. 13. The agencies were assessing the level of availability of alcohol to minors within the Warrensburg area and prevent the sale of alcohol to minors.
