Brett Barth-Fagan has served the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri as its executive director since December of 2005. On Jan. 2, 2014, he will leave the organization to take a governmental relations position with Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Sedalia Kiwanis Club Organizes Local Fundraisers [INTERVIEW]

At the Kiwanis International Foundation, they work hard for children at risk and under-served children, the children who need help most.  Working together with Kiwanis International, they serve the children of the world, supporting the Kiwanis International mission.  They also do a lot of work here locally with their programs for kids here in Sedalia, and also helping out the elderly in our area, too.

Sedalia JROTC Honors Veterans with Breakfast Ceremony [INTERVIEW]

A big holiday is coming up that means a lot to many of us here in the Mid-Missouri Area. With Whiteman Air Force base being so close, and so many of our brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, mothers, fathers and friends being active military or a veteran, everyone is affected in some way.  And our local young people want to be sure that that day is kept sacred and thankful. I'm talking about Veteran's Day, of course.

Noonday Optimist Haunted Hayride Draws Huge Crowd to the Missouri State Fairgrounds [PHOTOS]

The Noonday Optimist Club held their Haunted Hayride last weekend.  I went down there with my boyfriend and his two kids on Saturday (Oct. 26) at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, west of the Grandstand.   It was a little nippy out there, but that certainly didn't stop the throng of crowds!
