‘Bra Contest’ at Moore’s Greenhouse and Flower Shop Raises Relay for Life Funds

Walk into Moore's Greenhouse and Flower Shop this October and you'll get more than an eyeful of flowers.  You'll find yourself standing among a variety of hand-crafted, elaborately decorated underwear provided by members of the local community.  The bras aren't just for show; these glittered garments are entries in Moore's annual "Bra Contest" and help raise money for 2013 Relay for Life of Pettis County and will help fund cancer research.

Missouri State Fair Commission to Decide Fate of Mango Jack’s

After the completion of the Missouri State Fair, the Missouri State Fair Commission discussed the condition of Mango Jack's Building on the fairgrounds.  The commission claims that the condition of the building warrants it to be torn down.

Mango Jack's owner Gary Everts says he received a note last month stating that he must vacate the building by October 15.  Everts said that he feels that that Mango Jack's has become a key part of the nightlife at the Missouri State Fair and would like to present key points on how to keep and maintain Mango Jack's.

Fishing With a Vet Brings Big Turnout, Buck Contests in Full Swing

The MO Kids Outdoors Fishing With a Vet had an awesome turnout last weekend!  The weather was great, and we had about 100 kids come enjoy the great outdoors.  Everyone went home with a prize package including fishing information, tackle and certificates from DQ.
