Rob Milks His First Cow at the Missouri State Fair [PHOTOS]

As you may or may not know, I'm from the Detroit area. I've never milked a cow in my life. Well, that changed last weekend at the Missouri State Fair, as the good people at the Dairy Barn helped get me "rural-ized." Man, was it a funny experience!

2013 Missouri State Fair Highlights for Monday, Aug. 12, 2013

Today (Aug. 12) is day five of the 2013 Missouri State Fair , and it's Farm Bureau/Farm Family Day. This will be the first day that Fairgoers will be able to participate in the Lunch Bunch program, where you can take a break from the workplace and head to the Missouri State Fairgrounds for lunch. Go to the Centennial entrance after 11 a.m. and if you return by 2 p.m. you’ll receive a full refund and a full stomach.

2013 Missouri State Fair Highlights for Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013

Today (Aug. 11) is day four of the 2013 Missouri State Fair, and it's Show-Me Salutes Military Appreciation Day, where military will get free gate admission for active military, veterans and delayed entry recruits with appropriate I.D.  In addition, immediate family members get $1 gate admission and $5 off carnival ride wristbands.

2013 Missouri State Fair Queen Crowned

Ashley Bauer from Warrenton was crowned the 2013 Missouri State Fair Queen in the Friday, Aug. 9 coronation service held in the Mathewson Exhibition Center on the fairgrounds. Miss Bauer will reign over the remaining State Fair events and be an ambassador for the Missouri State Fair and agriculture throughout the coming year. She is Miss Warren County, and is the daughter of Todd and Suzanne Bauer.
