Sedalia Police Seek Assistance in Apprehending Copper Wire Thieves

Sedalia Police have identified 15 burglary cases that follow a noticeable pattern. According to a press release, thieves have forced entry to empty or unoccupied residences during overnight hours to steal portions of copper piping. In some cases, the burglaries are detected after the fire department is called to investigate a gas leak in the area. The police are asking the citizens of Sedalia for help in stopping this dangerous activity which could result in explosions and injuries.

Sedalia Police S.T.I.N.G Unit Serves Search Warrant, Find Meth and Packaging Supplies

Just before 11:00 last Sunday morning, the Sedalia Police S.T.I.N.G. Unit along with other law enforcement personnel served a search warrant at Apartment “C” at 501 West 7th.  The police report states that two subjects were in the apartment. Officers located methamphetamine individually packaged for sale, a digital scales, and packaging supplies.

Child Safe Holding Annual Adult Easter Egg Hunt This Weekend

One of my favorite events for one of my favorite causes is going on Saturday  It's the adult Easter Egg Hunt benefiting the Child Safe Organization.  Child Safe is a organization that helps children who have been physically and or sexually abused.  It's a safe place where kids who have been abused can talk to a professional about what has happened to them in a safe environment. It is videotaped and sent to prosecutors and law enforcement so the kids only have to tell their story one time.  It's a great organization and this is their biggest fundraiser.
