It’s National Teacher’s Day: Who Was Your Favorite Teacher? [SURVEY]

Kids, today is National Teacher's Day. I think that we all appreciate teachers in general, but I thought we might get a little more specific here.

I thought I'd share some memories of teachers I've had and worked with, and you could tell me a little about yours.  I think everyone had one of those teachers when they were a kid, that one that was your favorite.  Maybe they were funny, maybe they were kind, maybe they were just whatever you needed at the time.

Jason Collins Is Gay…Now, Let’s Move Along! [OPINION]

The sports world was turned on it's collective ear yesterday, and the general news and social media today, regarding Jason Collins "coming out" as a gay man in a new Sports Illustrated issue. Make that a "black, gay man," as if that makes it any more newsworthy.

A man in the sports spotlight announces he's gay, and this is what the nation is talking about?

Former SFCC Head Coach Bill Barton Elected to the Region 16 Hall of Fame

According to the SFCC Athletic Department, former Men's Basketball Head Coach Bill Barton has been elected to the Region 16 Hall of Fame.  During his tenure at SFCC, Barton recorded over 600 wins as head coach.  Barton is no stranger halls of fame.
