Afternoon Sedalia Police And Pettis County sheriff’s Crime Reports For November 11, 2014

A Pit Bull is reported running loose summons issued to the owner

On Monday Sedalia Police received a complaint involving a Pitt Bull running loose in the 1000 block of East 13th. The police report states the owner of the dog was located and issued a court summons.

Airmen Visit Sedalia Middle School
COURTESY OF CINDY MUELLER-LEWELLYN Senior Airman Stephan Sablan, leaning forward at right, and Senior Airman Adrian Cruz, right, both from Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, visit Monday morning with students in Tera Thomas’s fifth grade classroom at Sedalia Middle School. Cruz told the students about the importance of knowing who and what we stand for as a nation. Sablan explained that freedom is “having the ability to do what we want and cherishing it,” as many in other countries do not have the ability to experience true freedom. Their visit was courtesy of Charter Communications in conjunction with Veterans Day and the History Channel's “Bring a Vet to School Day.”

Sedalia Police Make Two Arrests Connected to Kidnapping Case

Sedalia Police arrested 27-year-old Joseph Rankin and 45-year-old Paula Hopkins for kidnapping on Saturday (Nov. 8).
