Madison Rising’s Rock n’ Roll National Anthem – Love It or Hate It? [VIDEO]

Our national anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner" is always played before big sporting event begins. It's considered an honor to sing the national anthem, some performances are great, some are awful, and some are really weird. At the Nationwide Race that took place at Daytona Speedway last Saturday (Feb. 22), the national anthem performance definitely fell in to the third category.

Should Sedalia Host a ‘Polar Plunge’ Event? [POLL]

The 7th annual Polar Plunge on Feb. 8 in Columbia was an enormous success, raising $74,000 to-date. A total of 376 brave men and women from around the area donned costumes and swimwear to take a dip into Stephens Lake. They all had a reason to dive into the freezing water, the money went to help the athletes of Special Olympics Missouri.

The Missouri House and Senate are getting closer to reviewing a bill to legalize, tax and regulate marijuana sales similar to alcohol sales in the state of Missouri. Democrat Rep. Chris Kelly and State Sen. Jason Holsman of Kansas City are working in each chamber to get momentum going to gain votes on their respective floors.

Would You Attend a St. Louis Winter Classic Hockey Game? [POLL]

The Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs played hockey in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the 2014 NHL Winter Classic on New Year's Day. This special game is played outdoors in the Big House. For the first time ever, the NHL drew over 100,000 fans into the stadium to watch this game as snow came falling down onto the ice surface during the Winter Classic.

I noticed on Facebook that some people  talking about this game don't even follow hockey. I wonder, what would it take for Missouri to get a game like this to draw attention to hockey in Missouri?
