It's no surprise that Congress' approval numbers have dropped significantly since the fiscal cliff debacle. But what's surprising is exactly how unpopular the legislative body has become. To put things in perspective, Congress is currently more unpopular than even the much-hated rock band Nickelback. Now that's saying something.

January 2, 2013 The Kansas City Chiefs finished their season at 2-14, and Head Coach Romeo Crennel has already received the pink slip. Several other coaches also were let go from their teams: Andy Reid from Philiadelphia, Norv Turner from San Diego, Lovie Smith from Chicago, Ken Whisenhunt from Arizona, Pat Shurmur from Cleveland and Chan Gailey from Buffalo. Already the Chiefs have invited Reid to interview for the job, and more announcements are sure to follow.
If the Mayans are correct, the end of the world will come Friday. Of course, we view it as a reason to have a party and go out with a bang. We'll be broadcasting from Dukes & Boots Friday evening for the "End of the World as We Know It" party. Parties are always fun, and who knows? This could be the last one.
December 11, 2012 The last two weeks before Christmas is always full of last minute shopping and getting things ready for Dec. 25. One of the great traditions that is done at about this point is the annual end of the year letter with a Christmas card, which is usually the end of the year family photo.
My friends will sometimes ask what I want for Christmas. I always have a hard time answering them. The material things I would like to have are items that I cannot afford. Since all of my friends are in a similar socioeconomic position as myself, I get uncomfortable talking about presents. There are a few things I know I don't want though.
