The Central Missouri Mules shut out Lindenwood in the second half and turned a close game into a runaway as they won their first game of the season, 47-28, on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 21) at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field. The University of Central Missouri Family Weekend is here.  Some events will cause road closures in the downtown area of Warrensburg.

Road Closures:

Holden Street will be closed from East Market to the Justice Center from 6:00pm Friday, September 20th to 3:00pm Sunday, September 22nd.

Dublin Social Club in downtown Warrensburg will perform a 24-hour tattoo marathon beginning on  Friday night (Sept. 20). The marathon will commence at the stroke of midnight and will entail $20 tattoos for walk-ins, door prizes every hour, zombie-themed grab bags and a scavenger hunt.

Kansas City Drive-In Movie Theater Could Be in Trouble; Here’s How You Can Help

It looks like quite a few drive-in theaters will be closing down in the next year. It's been announced that Hollywood films will no longer be made with 35 mm film and everything will be completely digital. It's not a big deal for regular movie theaters, but it'll be very tough for most drive-ins since the new digital projectors can cost around $80,000 or more. A lot of drive-ins are likely to go out of business rather than spend so much money.

Police Looking for Two Subjects in Johnson County

The Johnson County Emergency Management issued an alert that there is police activity in the Area of SW 951 and SW Division Road. Police are searching for two subjects in relation to subject fleeing traffic stop in Lafayette, Co. Citizens are asked to use extreme caution, do not open the door for anyone, make sure all vehicles and residences are locked, and call 911 immediately to report any suspicious activity.
