The Central Missouri Agriculture Club is sponsoring the upcoming Ag Expo.  It’ll be on Friday, Feb. 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Mohler Assembly Hall and the Mathewson Exhibition center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.

The Central Missouri Agriculture Club is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to support, promote and recruit youth in agriculture in Central Missouri. In the past, the group has given out scholarships totaling $21,000 to area students and provided over $9,000 in financial assistance to the local 4-H/ FFA Livestock Show, 4-H/FFA Dog Show, 4-H/FFA Horse Show, 4-H Achievement Days, robotics program, as well as sponsoring a farm youth tour for area students to experience at glance the past in farming techniques.  The Central Missouri Ag Club also sponsors a farm family of the year award.  Since the Club was formed in June of 2009, it has awarded over $45,000.00 in scholarships and over $16,500 in financial assistance to area youth, and 4-H/ FFA activities.

The Central Missouri Agriculture Club provides scholarships in conjunction with Agriculture Future of America (AFA) to graduating high school seniors who plan on pursuing a four-year degree in an agriculture related field of study. This scholarship supports college tuition and fees in the amount of $3,200 and includes sponsorship to the AFA Leaders Conference. The AFA Leaders Conference focuses on personal and professional development and is held annually in Kansas City, Mo. The Club also provides scholarships to students who plan to purse an agriculture related field of study at either a community college or four year college/university.

So make your plans now to attend The Central Missouri Agriculture Club  Ag Expo.  It’ll be on Friday, Feb. 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Mohler Assembly Hall and the Mathewson Exhibition center on the Missouri State Fairgrounds.  Admission is free, bring a canned good to support the Open Door Pantry. Farmers are feeding the masses.
