Central Missouri Speedway Budweiser Race Night Features Midwest Mod Lites, USRA B-Mods
For the second time this season, Midwest Mod Lites are set to make another visit to Central Missouri Speedway on Budweiser race night. During their last visit to the track, the race to the checkered flag was extremely close with three drivers in the mix. Donnie Dannar, Dillon Raffurty and eventual winner Ed Griggs thrilled the crowd with an intense battle to the finish. The Mod Lite racing is expected to be just as fierce this weekend when drivers return to CMS.
Weekly racing will be in full swing this Saturday with the best talent in the USRA ‘Mighty’ Modified $1,000-to-Win main event. Street Stock and Pure Stock drivers along with B-Mods are also on the race program. Both track points and USRA national points are available this Saturday for competing B-Mod drivers. All B-Mod drivers must be USRA licensed or pay the $10 temp fee to compete.
Pit gates swing open at 4:30 followed by admission gates at 5. Driver pill draw cutoff is 6:15 (no passing points awarded if driver is late checking in). Heading into this weekend, Kevin Blackburn maintains his lead in the USRA Modified division ahead of Gunner Martin and Shad Badder. While Martin and Badder have each won main events this season. Blackburn’s consistent top-three finishes have him atop the standings but still in search of his first main event victory. Clayton Campbell, Brett Wood, and Bryan Eckhoff hold down the top three positions in Street Stock action. Troy Carlyle currently leads last year’s champion Jacob Ebert and Bobby Russell in B-mod competition while Rodger Detherage holds down the top spot in the Pure Stock division over Amanda Akers, and Herb Dannar.
