The Central Missouri Police Academy at UCM spring class of 2018 will graduate on June 12, with a 100% hiring rate of those actively seeking a job in law enforcement.

UCM says that twenty graduating CMPA cadets have been hired or conditionally offered a position before graduation. All the positions the cadets will be accepting are located throughout Missouri.

It was noted that two cadets in the current class are not currently seeking employment in law enforcement.

Graduation marks the cadets’ completion of the 20-week course at the academy. The course curriculum fulfills requirements for Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification and also provides 15 hours of undergraduate college credit.

The graduation ceremony will take place in the Elliot Student Union Ballroom on the UCM campus in Warrensburg, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Graduation will culminate with the "Pinning Ceremony," as cadets whose job offers have been finalized will have their badge "pinned" on them by a member of their new department.
