Charles Austin Wenner, 79, of Georgetown, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at his home.

He was born September 25, 1936, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, son of Earl Austin and Gertrude Keating Wenner. On November 7, 1959, in Sedalia, he married Alice M. Rice, who survives of the home.

Mr. Wenner served twenty-one years in the United States Air Force in the Strategic Air Command, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant E-7. After retiring, he worked in Civil Service at Whiteman Air Force Base. He was a member of St. Patrick Church. He enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by three children, Teresa Black, of Vandalia, Tammy Lewis (David), of Sedalia, and Charles J. Wenner (Joy), of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Daniel Ray Lewis (Jennifer), Deborah Marie Lewis, Alex Joseph Wenner and Austyn Klay Wenner.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Wenner; two brothers, Earl Wenner and John Wenner; and two sisters, Loretta Dlugosh and Gertrude Kutch.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, at Sacred Heart Church, with Father Mark Miller officiating.
Casket bearers will be the Whiteman AFB Honor Guard.

Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.

The Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, at Heckart Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 7:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Patrick Church.
