Charles "Charlie" Emmett Elliott, 68, of Ionia passed away February 15, 2015 at his home in Ionia, MO.  He was born on January 27, 1947 in Windsor, MO the son of Max Elliott, who preceded him in death and Arvella (Barrow), who survives of Sedalia.

On June 2, 1967 he was united in marriage to Joyce Meyers, who survives of the home.

Charlie graduated from Green Ridge High School in 1965 and earned his Bachelors Degree in Ag Business from CMSU, Warrensburg in 1969. He served in the Green Ridge community on the School Board, Fire Department Board, Chamber of Commerce and substitute bus driver for the Green Ridge School District.  He was a member of the NRA, National & State Cattleman's Association, MO Department Sheriff's Association and F.O.P. Lifetime member.  Charlie served on the board for Farm Service Association and MO Cattleman's Association.  At the Harmony Baptist Association, he enjoyed being on the Staff Recommendation Team, and also the Nominating Team for the R.E.C. Board.  Charlie was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, Manila, MO, where he served as church deacon and Cemetery Sexton.   After dedicating 25 year of service to the Pettis County Sheriff's Department, he retired in 2007, when he started Charlie's Process Service.   During his life, he enjoyed collecting miniature tractors, going camping, family vacations and working on his farm.  He was proud of the family farm which became a MO Century Farm, established in 1873.

Besides his mother and his wife, he is survived by two children, David Eugene Elliott and his wife Sherry, and Cathy Chewning and her husband Darryl, all of Ionia, MO; and five grandchildren, Austin, Dallas, Dakota, Caitlyn and Skylar.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, Celebration Center, Sedalia, with Rev. Mark Abney officiating.

Family will receive friends on Thursday evening, February 19, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, also at The Celebration Center.

Burial will be at Antioch Baptist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Bond, John Pahlow, John Lange, Larry Brown, Jake Meyers, Dustin Mahin and Philip Mahin.

Honorary bearers will be Stanley Miller, Larry Cloud, Lynn Snow, John Meyers, Tommy Mahin, Jerry Bay, Todd Peck and Marvin Eaves.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
