Child Sex Abuse Suspects in Custody

A suburban St. Louis woman charged this summer with sexually abusing a toddler, and her boyfriend who is accused of videotaping the abuse, are now in custody.

St. Louis County police say 37-year-old Aubrey Costello-Warden and 47-year-old John Ferguson were arrested Sept. 24 in Mobile, Alabama, where they are jailed. Both live in south St. Louis County.

Costello-Warden was charged in August in St. Louis County with first-degree statutory rape, sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of first-degree sodomy. Ferguson was charged at the same time with sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of possession of child pornography.

Police say the crime with the toddler-age boy happened in December 2013.
