The Sedalia Symphony Society's Christmas POPS Concert is Monday, December 5 at the Celebration Center in Sedalia.

"What we do out at the Celebration Center for this performance is we set up tables and chairs, much like the old days of the Boston POPS, and people can sit there, or in regular seating in the main hall at the church," said Byron Matson of the Sedalia Symphony Society. "We have a wonderful POPS concert of Christmas, non-Christmas, religious and secular music. It's going to be a great, happy evening."

Tickets to the POPS Concert are $10 and can be purchased at the Liberty Center, or tickets can be purchased at the door. Children and students are free. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

Plans are also being made for the Symphony Society's Winter Concert on February 27 at the Heckart Performing Arts Center, which will feature the Esterhazy Quartet from MU. Tickets for the Winter Concert can be purchased in advance from the Liberty Center, or at the door the night of the performance.
