Sedalia City Council work session features Scott Joplin Foundation update

The Sedalia City Council meets Monday, January 4, 2016 at City Hall for its regularly scheduled meeting. The 7 p.m. meeting will follow a work session featuring an annual update from the Scott Joplin Foundation.

Items on the agenda tonight include a proposal and ordinance approving an agreement between the City of Sedalia, and the Davey Resource Group for a tree inventory of the approximately 1,897 city right-of-way trees. The council will also review an ordinance repealing ordinance 10383 in its entirety which authorizes the acceptance of a “Quit Claim Deed” by the City of Sedalia from Pettis County for sections of Main Street and Oak Grove Lane, and the acceptance of those streets for city maintenance.
