Phase 2 of the street reclamation and resurfacing project in southeast Sedalia started Monday, Sept. 17.

Following a cure period, installation of a two-inch asphalt cap including an initial layer of prime oil will begin on the streets listed below.

Street Department staff has made contact with residents and are posting signs regarding the work zones. This work will require closing of those streets and residents who routinely park along or have driveways accessing these streets will need to find alternate parking along north and south running roadways while the roadway surface in being installed.

Noon - Mon., Sept. 17 through 6:00 p.m. on Tues. Sept. 18, 2018
E. 28th St. between S. Ingram Ave. to 100 ft. west of the intersection with S.
Massachusetts Ave.

Noon - Wed., Sept. 19 through 6:00 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 20, 2018
E. 25th St between S. Ingram Ave. to 200 ft. west of S. Massachusetts Ave. (Dead End)

City officials said in a news release "We apologize for any inconvenience these road closures may cause as we work to improve this area. Please note that this resurfacing project is weather dependent and may be delayed due to rain."
