City of Sedalia Notes Changes to Trash Collection Schedule for Thanksgiving Week

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, City of Sedalia offices will be closed Nov. 23 and Nov. 24, and the trash collection schedule will be altered.

In addition to City offices being closed, the Materials Management site on Highway U will also be closed.

Trash and recycling pick-ups will not be made on those dates.

Below is a list of trash and recycling pick-ups affected by the Thanksgiving holiday period and the dates which pick-ups will be made.

During the Week of Nov. 20 – 24, 2017

Trash collection that usually occurs on Tuesday, will occur on Monday, Nov. 20.
Trash collection that usually occurs on Wednesday will occur on Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Trash collection that usually occurs Thursday, will occur on Wednesday, Nov. 22.

If trash and recycling is normally picked up on Friday AND you live North of 16th Street, collection will instead take place on Tuesday, Nov. 21. 

If trash and recycling is normally collected on Friday AND you live South of 16th Street, collection will instead take place on Wednesday, Nov. 22.
