Clyde Ralph McCubbin, 87, of Windsor, died Friday, December 4, 2015, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.  He was born on September 28, 1928, on family farm north of Warsaw a son of Clyde and Kate (Beyer) McCubbin.

In 1946, he graduated from Warsaw High School.  On June 26, 1949, at Ionia, he was united in marriage to Helen Neil.  This union was blessed with the gift of two children, Deborah Ann and Dennis Ralph.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.  After he returned from service, he bought a house in Lincoln.  He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lincoln.  He had worked at the MFA in Lincoln, and was a carpenter before opening McCubbin Motors in Lincoln. He enjoyed fishing trips with his wife Helen and taking his kids and grandkids hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed trips with his family to Colorado, where he and Helen would ride his motorcycle to the top of Pike's Peak.

He is survived by:
his wife, Helen McCubbin of the home;
his daughter, Deborah Ann Tabor of Windsor;
his son, Dennis Ralph McCubbin of Lincoln;
his sister, Marva Lee Taylor of Warsaw;
five grandchildren, Eric Ryan Smith and wife Sarah, Matthew Ralph Long and Nichole, Misty Tabor, Crystal Self and husband Daniel, and Dennis Ralph McCubbin, Jr.;
thirteen great-grandchildren, Faith Castro, Josiah Smith, Abigail Smith, Bethany Smith, Tyler Long, Angel Long, Isabella Gier, Adaira Tabor, Shyla Williams, Bo Williams, Allison Self, Alexis Long and Carter Long; and
one great-great-granddaughter, Jasmine Luisa Castro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Kate McCubbin.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the family in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be Eric Smith, Matthew Long, Josiah Smith, Mike Smith, Daniel Self, and Crystal Self.
