Cowboy Mounted Shooting Impresses at Missouri State Fair [PICTURES]

On Friday night, I got to see the Cowboy Mounted Shooting competition at the Mathewson Exhibition Center. I couldn’t believe how good the competitors were!

Cowboy Mounted Shooting is exactly what it sounds like: Cowboys and cowgirls riding horses and shooting targets at the same time. The competitors rode through a course at high speed with a pair of pistols, blasting away at 10 different balloon targets. I saw one guy do it as fast as 13 seconds!

It was a really fun and unique show, and if you get the chance to see it, you really should. They were riding so fast it was hard to take a good picture, but we managed to get a few. Check them out in the gallery!
