Cynthia Ann Sanchez, 51, of Rawlins, WY, formerly of Sedalia, MO, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014. She was born on May 24, 1963, a daughter of Thomas Dean and Savada Ann (Simmons) Hockaday.

On December 31, 2005 in Rawlins, WY, she was united in marriage to Sam Sanchez who preceded her in death in August 2008.

Cynthia enjoyed going fishing, singing, traveling, dancing, playing the tambourine, and writing poetry.

She is survived by two sisters, Kimberly Tubbs (Walter) of Sedalia, MO, and Katrina Faulkner of Sedalia, MO; one brother, Thomas Dean Hockaday, Jr. of Green Ridge, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many close friends in Rawlins including Wayne Worrell, Wanda and Steve Safford, Lynda Rista, Judy Heber, Sam Bass, and Mary Shinbener.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, George and Martha LeBuege; and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Beryl Hockaday

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO, with Rev. Ed Broyles officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
