Daniel Lee Gentges, 62, of Sedalia, passed away, Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. He was born on November 14, 1950, in Tuscumbia, Mo., a son of Leo and Sara (Morris) Gentges. On June 24, 1979 in Miami, Okla., he was united in marriage to Carol Walters, who survives of the home. He enjoyed working on housing projects with The Habitat for Humanity and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Daniel served his country honorably in the US Army, Vietnam. He was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Church and taught Building Trades at State Fair Community College.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Nathan (Nichole) Gentges of Sedalia and Nicholas (fiance Holly) Gentges of Sedalia; one brother Alan (Diane) Gentges of Barttlesville, OK and one granddaughter, Abigail Gentges.

He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Father Bill Mcvey officiating.
