Danny G. Davis, 67

Danny G. Davis, 67, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at his home.

He was born February 27, 1948, in Sedalia, son of the late Charles F. and Martha Latta Davis.

On May 29, 1976, in Sedalia, Danny was united in marriage to Deborah L. Nichols, who survives of the home.

Danny formerly owned the Double D Express convenience store. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars and loved caring for his grandkids.

In addition to his wife of 39 years, he is survived by: three children, Christy L. Monteer, Vanessa Griffin and Charles Nicholas Davis, all of Sedalia; ten grandchildren; a sister, Sharlene Thomas, of Huntington Beach, CA; and a brother, Charles Davis, of Warsaw.

Funeral services with military honors will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chris Guffey officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Cornerstone Baptist Church or Broadway Baptist Church.
