David Eugene Nicholson, 55

David Eugene Nicholson, 55, of Jefferson City, MO passed away June 28, 2015 at his home.  He was born on September 28, 1959 in Sedalia, MO a son of Marvin Nicholson, who preceded him in death and Barbara (Walker) Nicholson, who survives of Jefferson City, MO.

David enjoyed playing guitar, riding dirt bikes, going to stock car races and fishing.  He worked for Carl Wilken setting up sound, stage and lighting for concerts at the MO State Fair.  David especially enjoyed hanging out with his friends and playing music on float trips.

Besides his mother, he is survived by one brother, Dean Nicholson (Jill) of Jefferson City; one nephew, Chris Nicholson of Jefferson City; and one niece, Hayley Jenkins of Oklahoma City, OK.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Jenkins and nephew, Matt Bell.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Burial of David's ashes will be at High Point Cemetery, Hughesville, MO at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Children's Therapy Center in care of the funeral chapel.
