David Lee Stilfield, 60, of Green Ridge, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born on May 9, 1953, in Sedalia, a son of Charles Henry and Mildred Lee Strine Stilfield.

On December 28, 1974, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Nadine Ann Ward, who survives of the home.

Mr. Stilfield worked for the Sedalia Fire Department as a fire fighter and driver, retiring on October 30, 1999 after 22 years of service. David enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boating and being outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mildred Lee Stilfield, of Sedalia; three sons, Charles Lee Stilfield (Susan), Eric Linn Stilfield (Amy) and Bradlee Linn Stilfield (Jessica) all of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Alex, Stephanie, Anna, Nicholas and Kaitlin; a sister, Ann Davenport, Sedalia; a brother, Wray Stilfield (Cindy) Sedalia.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kaye Taylor and a brother, C.A. Stilfield.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jon Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the chapel.

Pallbearers will be members of the Sedalia Fire Department. Honorary bearers will be, Mike Ditzfeld, Melvin Lange, and Don Meier.

Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery. The Sedalia Fire Department will conduct the Fire Fighters Last Call Memorial at the gravesite.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Fire Fighters Memorial Fund in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
