David Marion Coke, 59, of Florence, MO passed away, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home. He was born on November 23, 1953, in Kansas City, a son of Joe and Myrtle (Gregory) Coke, Sr.

On April 25, 1980, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Janet K. Davis, who survives of the home.   He enjoyed collecting antique pottery and repairing old cars. He loved hunting, fishing and going to auctions and garage sales.  David was always sharing his wisdom with his family and friends.  He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.  David was dearly in love with his wife of 33 years. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was proud to be involved in the prison ministry.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Curtis (Connie) Amberg of Sedalia, Joe (Kim) of Columbia, Wesley (Valerie) Coke of Linneus, MO and Crystal Coke of Sedalia; two sisters, Floretta Smith of Sedalia and Wanda Stoneburner of Brookfield, MO; three brothers, Danny (Charlene) Coke of Sedalia, Lonny (Tina) Coke of Sedalia and Jessie Beaman of Springdale, AR; fourteen grandchildren, Rachel, Leland, Derrick, Tyeler, Kyra, Ayla, Dutch, Dakota, Sahara, Dustin, Savanah, Jazzmyn, Caleb, Marianna and two great grandchildren and one on the way.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Marie Miller and Linda K. Coke at infancy; one brother, Joe Gaylord Coke, Jr.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, May 17, 2013, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Sedalia, with Rick Tolliver officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Parker Cemetery, Creighton, MO.

Pallbearers will be Danny and Lonny Coke, Melvin Tabor, Charlie McNeal, and Gary and Jimmy Nolting.

Honorary bearers will be Jessie Beaman, Bernard Alexander and David’s grandsons.
