Investigators are providing some details in the deaths of two people in the St. Louis County town of Vinita Park.

The Major Case Squad says investigators believe 45-year-old Vernon Stewart Jr. fatally shot 35-year-old Tashonda Nesbitt, who lived with him at the home. A third person fatally shot Stewart.

The two victims were found in the home early Sunday.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Olivette Police Lt. David Wolf, a spokesman for the Major Case Squad, said the third person was an adult who felt threatened by Stewart.

Wolf would not provide any other details. The third person is cooperating with investigators.

Wolf said investigators will turn over their findings to St. Louis County prosecutors, who will decide if charges will be filed.
