Sedalia Police were called to the lobby of Bothwell Regional Health Center on Thursday afternoon when it was reported that a man and woman carrying weapons were fighting.

According to a Sedalia Police Report, officers were sent to investigate around 4:30 p.m., but the suspects had left before police arrived. Witnesses in the parking lot claimed the man had a knife and that the suspects had a 12 gauge shotgun and 38 snub nose.

Police found the man and woman and it was discovered that the item in the man's hand was a silver cell phone that belonged to the woman. The woman said that there was no physical altercation, and that she was just trying to get her phone back. The man gave the woman her phone, minus the SIM card.

Police checked the suspects and weapons through their computer and did not report making any arrests. The individuals were not named by Sedalia Police.
