Donald Beeman 90, of rural Windsor, Missouri, died Monday afternoon, July 6, 2015, at Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation, Warsaw, Mo, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

He was born May 27, 1925 near Syracuse, Mo., the son of Joel Thomas “Tommy” Beeman and Bessie Opal (Combs) Beeman. On October 18, 1947, he was united in marriage to Eunice Mae Christian, in Sullivan, Mo., and she survives at the family farm.

Don grew up on a farm and remained on the farm all of his life. He was a graduate of Syracuse High School.  Don raised grain crops, hay and cattle. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Producers Exchange and MFA Implement for several years. He was a long time, dedicated Member of the Boards of the Windsor 4-County Rural Fire District and Brandon Special Road District. Don was baptized as a youth at Mt. Carmel Baptist church near Syracuse, and later moved his membership to Harmony Baptist Church near Windsor, where he was very active in the church and served in many capacities with a passion. He prized his farm and cattle, but he especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Eunice, of the home, he is survived by a son, David Beeman and his wife Jo, Windsor, Mo.; two grandchildren, Sandi Beeman, Windsor, Mo., and Andrew Beeman and his fiancée, Brittany Sell, both of Warrensburg, Mo. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Maynard Beeman and Harold Beeman.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015, at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor with Pastor Gordon Hibbard officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Laurel Oak Cemetery and may be left in care of the funeral home.
