Donald Eugene Greer, 65, of Sedalia, passed away, Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at his home. He was born on September 29, 1947, in Sedalia, a son of Marion and Helen (Ulmer) Greer.

He enjoyed playing cards and pool.  He loved listening to country music and singing karaoke.  Don served his country honorably in the US Navy, Vietnam War.  He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Sedalia.

Besides his mother he is survived by two daughters, Terri Paxton and her husband Butch of Lee’s Summit and Nikki Greer of Versailles; three sisters, Sharyn Cook of Florence, Kathryn Glidewell and her husband Roger of Chatsworth, GA and Jamie Daniel and her husband Kevin of Green Ridge; six grandchildren and four step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and twin brother, Ronald E. Greer.   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Rev. Duane Duchesne officiating.   Pallbearers will be Donald Goodman, Kent Greer, Robert Walker, Kevin Daniel, Jared Walker and Kevin Forbes.  Honorary bearers will Barnett Walker Jr., Roger Glidewell and Ken Cook.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.   Memorial contributions are suggested to New Hope Baptist Church in care of the funeral chapel.

Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville.
