Donald L. “Don” Wissman, 78, of Sedalia, died Saturday, November 21, 2015, at his son’s home in Sedalia.

 

He was born November 13, 1937, in Sedalia, to the late Jacob J. and Maude F. (Davis) Wissman.

 

Don was raised and educated in Sedalia and was a 1955 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. He was a member of IBEW Local 124 for over 55 years and had also worked at KMOS TV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family, and morning coffee with his friends.

 

He is survived by two brothers, Cleo Wissman, of Sedalia, and Jake Wissman, of Hughesville; and many children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by six siblings, Chester Wissman, Ann Richards, Glen Wissman, Jane Montgomery, Joann Hedges and Bonnie Dick.

 

Graveside service will be 2 pm, Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at Highland Sacred Gardens with Chaplain Bill Siebert officiating. Pallbearers will be Mike Wissman, Bart Wissman, Cody Wissman, Brenden Wissman, Ty Wissman and Jeremy Johnson.

 

There will be no visitation.
