Dorothy Mae Rogers, 77, of Sedalia, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at her home. She was born on July 3, 1937 in Sedalia, a daughter of Harry and Elsie (Helming) Cannady, who preceded her in death.

On July 8, 1965 in Miami, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to Walter E. Rogers, who survives of the home.

Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She also loved traveling by RV and listening to old time country music.

Besides her husband, she is survived by eight children, Debbie Keeton of La Monte, MO, Buddy Rogers of Sedalia, MO, Mike Rogers of Mora, MO, Cindy Neth of Sedalia, MO, Ronald Rogers of Independence, MO, Vicky Shackles of Sedalia, MO, Becky Harris of Sedalia, MO, and Kim Walters of Sedalia, MO; two sisters, Virginia VanWormer of Sedalia, MO, and Hazel Rogers of Sedalia, MO; and one brother, Bill Cannady of Springfiled, MO; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she loved dearly.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Rex Cannady; and two sisters, Mary Green and Patricia Cannady.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, with Pastor Dan Hankins officiating.
