Dorothy Sophia Stoermer, 70, of Mora, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at her home.  She was born on October 10, 1942, on the family farm near Mora, Missouri, a daughter of Emil D. and Paula D. (Wischmeier) Stelling.   On October 25, 1942, she was baptized at her home near Mora and on May 27, 1956, she was confirmed at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of rural Cole Camp.  She graduated from Cole Camp High School in May of 1960.   On June 19, 1960, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church of rural Cole Camp, she was united in marriage to Paul Emil Stoermer, who preceded her in death on April 15, 1979.  The couple rented a farm northeast of Cole Camp for three years before moving to her present home in December of 1963.   She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, rural Cole Camp, where she taught Sunday School for 45 years and was a charter member of the Holy Cross Couples Club.  She was a homemaker and helped on the farm by milking cows and working in the fields with the John Deere tractors.  For five years, she worked at Inter State Studios in Sedalia and in the office of Dr. Reed in Sedalia for four years.  For 33 years, she looked forward to spending the school year with her Lutheran School kids as their librarian.   Her family, children, grandchildren, and faith in God meant a lot to her.  She loved being with her children and spending time playing or just being with her wonderful grandchildren.  She enjoyed spending time with her special friend, Roxie, growing flowers, reading, and working circle-a-word puzzles.  She loved playing pitch, canasta, pinochle, spades, and dominoes.   She is survived by:  two daughters, Tammy Henley and her husband Robert and Polly Dotson and her husband Randall, all of Mora; one son, Larry Stoermer and his wife Kathy of Mora; two sisters, Lillie Stelling and Delores Stelling, both of Mora; and three grandchildren, David Stoermer, Amollie Stoermer, and Samantha Henley.  Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Paula Stelling.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, rural Cole Camp, with Pastor Michael Boothby officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, rural Cole Camp.  The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp, with visitation to follow.  The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Lutheran School Library or Holy Cross Couples Club for the purchase of a card display case in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.   Pallbearers will be David Stoermer, John Rodick, Charles Cordes, Allen Brandes, Craig Fisher, and Chris Balke.  Honorary pallbearers will be Amollie Stoermer and Samantha Henley.
