An early morning traffic stop led to the arrest of a 50-year old man who police say was in possession of methamphetamine.

A report from the Sedalia Police Department says the traffic stop took place in the area of Wilkerson Street and S. Moniteau Ave around 3:15 Tuesday morning. Officers pulled over a Chevy SUV, as the vehicle did not have functioning license plate lights.

Police spoke with the driver, Sherwood Kearby Limback, of Linn Creek, MO, and discovered he had an active Pettis County warrant for stealing, with a bond of $1,500.

The report indicates that upon further investigation, Limback was found to be in possession of meth and related-paraphernalia.

Limback was arrested and placed on a twenty-four hold in the Pettis County Jail.
