Drowning Victim in Mississippi River Identified
A man who drowned in the Mississippi River has been identified as a 26-year-old resident of the eastern Missouri town of Foley.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the victim as Jesse Pruett. His body was found Friday.
Authorities say Pruett waded into the river Thursday night and was swept away by the current. He was not wearing a life jacket and couldn't swim. A woman with Pruett was unable to save him.
