Earlier this week, Clinton, MO Police responded to a report of a possible drug overdoes involving a non-responsive person.

A press release from the Clinton Police Department indicates that late Wednesday night, officers were dispatched to 218 S. Fourth Street regarding the non-responsive subject.

Upon arrival, items suspected to be methamphetamine were reportedly located in plain view of the residence.

Then on Thursday (Aug 23), a search warrant was obtained. During the search authorities discovered marijuana, drug paraphernalia, suspected methamphetamine, oxycodone, digital scales, an illegal sawed off shotgun with a 16" barrell and a .22 caliber bolt action rifle with a filed serial number.

Arrested was 34-year old Terry G. Sorden Jr., of Clinton.

Sorden was placed on a twenty-four investigative hold for Possession of Controlled Substance except 35 grams of marijuana; Distribution of Controlled Substance within 2000 feet of a school, Unlawful Possession of Firearms and Possession of Paraphernalia.

The unresponsive subject was reportedly taken to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment and charges are pending for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The subject's name was not released.
