Duine Allen Proffitt, 41, of Sedalia lost his battle with life on May 31, 2014 at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia. He was born on August 16, 1972 in Honolulu, HI, a son of Jackie Proffitt, who preceded him in death and Diana (Schwartz) Proffitt, who survives of San Antonio, TX.

On August 24, 1991 in Warsaw, MO he was united in marriage to Nichole Collard, who survives of the home.

He enjoyed being outdoors, golfing, fishing or skeet shooting. In his spare time he liked to go to the movies. Duine served his country honorably in the US Army for 21 years.  He was a member of the VFW Post 2591 and the NRA. He worked for Sierra Bullets, Sedalia.

He is also survived by two children, Baylie and Autumn Proffitt, both of Sedalia; two sisters, Lynn Grosenbaucher (Nicholas) of Fort Hood, TX and Melanie Ahlers (Richard) of Fort Hood, TX;

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Rev. Ed Broyles officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the chapel.

Honorary bearers will be Jeff Davis, Keith Balke, Kevin Balke, and Ashton Barton
