Elaine Lee Barklage, 86, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born July 11, 1927, in Schubert, MO, daughter of Eddie Alonzo and Minnie Davis Busker. On December 22, 1941, in Warrensburg, she married Olen H. Barklage, who preceded her in death on October 11, 2011.

Mrs. Barklage was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was a cook at St. Paul's School. She had also worked in the K-Mart Deli. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and fishing with her husband.

Survivors include four sons, Bobby Barklage, of Sedalia, Don Barklage, and his wife, Nancy, of Columbia, SC, Ted Barklage, and his wife, Pat, of Wheatland, and Mark Barklage, and his wife, Ronda, of Lee's Summit; a daughter, Connie Teeter, of Sedalia; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Busker, of Sedalia; three sisters, Doris Register, of Georgia, Virginia Hughes, of Marshall, and Frances Carrigan, of Gary, IN.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Nancy Barklage; and a brother, Ward Busker.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 16, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeremy Freeman officiating.
Casket bearers will be Doug Barklage, Craig Barklage, Bob Barklage, Alan Teeter, Matt Wade and Kevin Richardson.
Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15, at Heckart Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
