Elbert C. “Jr.” Fidler, 61, of Sedalia, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

He was born September 24, 1954, in Ft. Leonard Wood, son of the late Elbert Clayton and Mary Jane Sullivan Fidler.
Jr. worked as a construction foreman for Septagon Construction and also in car sales.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, until his health failed, and watching Royals baseball. His greatest love was his grandchildren and Gunner.

He attended Smith-Cotton High School and then enlisted in the Army. He was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii, attached to the 25th Infantry Division. While there, he attended University of Hawaii.

He is survived by three children, Chad Fidler (Chaning), of Sedalia, Clayton Fidler (Catherine), of Blue Springs, and Cameron Fidler (Natasha), of Grandview; four grandchildren, Camdyn, Christian, Casen and Caden Fidler; and two brothers, Jim and Tim Fidler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Burton; and a sister, Pam McCue.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Downing officiating.

Pallbearers will be Chad Fidler, Clayton Fidler, Cameron Fidler, Tim Fidler, Jim Fidler, Jerry Stewart and Richard Stewart. Honorary bearers will be Kevin Shepard and Gunner Michael.

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
