KSIS and the Sedalia Democrat are giving you a chance to get to know the candidates for this year's general election at an upcoming forum.  A candidates forum will begin at 6 p.m. this Wednesday, July 25 in the Thompson Conference Center of the Heckart Science and Allied Health Center on the State Fair Community College campus.  The candidates for assessor, treasurer, eastern commissioner and western commissioner will be on hand to answer your questions.

There is a lot of attention on the upcoming general election in November. However, many candidates will have their fate sealed with the August 7  Primary.  This year has been an interesting one in Pettis County with both the Eastern and Western Commissioner announcing that they were not intending to run for re-election.

The Forum will be moderated by Sedalia Democrat Editor Bob Satnan, and questions will be asked by Sedalia Democrat Managing Editor Dennis Rich and KSIS News Director Doug Sokolowski.

If you have any questions for the candidates you can submit it by email to KSIS News Director, Doug Sokolowski.

KSIS will air the forum with each candidate on the following dates:

  • Monday, July 30, 9 a.m. - County Assessor
  • Tuesday, July 31, 9 a.m. Treasurer
  • Wednesday, August 1, 9 a.m. - Western Commissioner
  • Thursday, August 2 - Eastern Commissioner

The candidate forum will be available in it's entirety on our website as well.
