JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — An ethics complaint has been filed against a Missouri House member who says he helps other lawmakers hide lobbyist gifts from required public reporting. Liberal advocacy group Progress Missouri's executive director Sean Nicholson says he filed a complaint against Republican Rep. Craig Redmon of Canton. Lawmakers are required to publicly report meals and other lobbyist gifts. But Redmon told The Associated Press he sometimes will claim meals provided to other lawmakers on his own reports. He says that shields legislators, particularly those concerned with reporting any lobbyist gifts.
