Eva Mae Anne Statler, 73, of LaMonte, MO, passed away June 5, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.  She was born on June 7, 1941 in New Orleans, LA, a daughter of Ecton and Eve Celeste (Toups) LeCompte.  On November 17, 1958 in Houma, LA she was united in marriage to Ishmael Statler, who preceded her in death on July 9, 2006.

Eva was a proud military wife, and she took care of her family during her husband’s absence during numerous tours of duty including Vietnam. She loved to play the guitar and sing.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, solitaire, flower gardening, dancing, and Fox News.  She used her talent for crochet handwork to bestow numerous beautiful gifts to family and friends as well as hats for fellow chemotherapy patients.

She is survived by her children, Tina (Alonzo) Moore of Rolla, MO, Vicki (Eric) Walton of Georgetown, MO, Eric Statler, of Warrensburg, MO, Jeff (Michelle) Statler, of Sedalia, MO, and Jared Statler, of LaMonte, MO, eight grandchildren, two great-grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held at Rea Funeral Chapel on Saturday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Holt, Zac Walton, Levi Statler, Eric Walton, Alonzo Moore, Bruce Shaw, Keith Rutherford, Jerry Henson, James Erdeljac, Joseph Hawkins, Allen Bell, Jim Harrison, Mark Harrison, Brian Harrison, Brian Brockman, Pat Monahan, Robbie Brown, and Jake Brown.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
