43rd Annual Loafer’s Convention

The 43rd annual Loafer's Convention will be at the Community Building in Green Ridge. It'll be on Saturday, February 22, one day only, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  There will be a silent auction at 6:00 p.m.  The chicken dinner will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The cost is $7 per dinner and the menu will include chicken, bread, coffee or tea and a choice of three sides: green beans, cole slaw, potato salad, applesauce or cottage cheese.  Also they'll be serving sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, chili, chips and dessert.  Everyone is invited for a day of loafing, playing cards, or the game of your choice (bring your own).  There will be free coffee, tea and peanuts.  This is sponsored by the Green Ridge Chamber of Commerce.
