In conjuction with the Cole Camp Oktoberfest, the Missouri Master Naturalist and Missouri Prairie Foundation present Prairie Day. This will take place on Saturday, October 11 starting at 10 a.m.  There will be nature photography, demonstrations, activities, a scavenger hunt, storytelling, bird banding and crafts, hands on reptiles, mammal and stream stations, hayrides and face painting. Then that evening at 5:00 p.m. join the Missouri Prairie Foundation for "An Evening on the Prairie" with music, refreshments and stargazing with the Kansas City and Camden County Astronomy Associations.  All events are held at Dr Wayne Morton's Native Prairie, located at the corner of Klink Ave and Hi Lonesome Rd.
