A celebrity basketball game will highlight State Fair Community College’s “Back the Roadrunners Night” Oct. 1 in the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center on the Sedalia campus.

SFCC Roadrunners, Lady Roadrunners and Spirit Squad members will be introduced at 6:30 p.m. followed by a skills contest.  A celebrity basketball game between faculty and staff and community members will begin at 7 p.m. Mark Kelchner, Erin Wilson, Dan Page, John Morris, Robin Hargrave and others will play against community members Bob Satnan, The Sedalia Democrat; Sarah Grupe, Peak Performance; Kyle Herrick, Bryant Motors; Larry Ward, Sedalia Police Department; Doug Sokolowski, KSIS; and others. The SFCC Spirit Squad will perform at halftime. Door prizes will be awarded.   Admission will be small food items, which will be donated to the Buddy Pack food drive, an Open Door Food Pantry program that provides weekend food backpacks for children in the Sedalia School District. Suggested items include pull-top cans of fruit and soup, cereal bars, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter and cheese crackers, drink boxes, etc.
