In observance of National Bible Week, a 'Bible Appreciation Luncheon and Thanksgiving' gathering is planned at Golden Corral Family Restaurant in Sedalia.
The luncheon is sponsored by the Sedalia Bible Academy (SBA). The lunch will take place from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Admission is the price of lunch, for $9.50. Attendees need to make reservations before 4:00 p.m. on November 11, by calling 660-281-1286 or 826-9988.
The event is not a fundraiser.
SBA's purpose for the luncheon is to offer area residents the chance to participate in National Bible Week (Nov. 12 - 18), and to celebrate the role and blessings of the Bible in everyday life.
The program will include a recitation of the entire New Testament Epistle of James, by Scott Hunnell. Musical renditions of biblical concepts will also be presented, along with multilingual presentations of a favorite Bible verse from those in attendance.
