Bothwell Regional Health Center will host a ‘Safe Sitter’ babysitting class on Saturday, October 21.

The class will take place in the Bothwell Education Center, located at 600 E. 14th Street.

A press release from BRHC says, the class is designed for children in 6th – 8th grades who are interested in babysitting. The ‘Safe Sitter’ program is described as a comprehensive, one-day course that includes pediatric CPR training and will teach young teens and preteens how to be better, safer babysitters.

Students wills also have the opportunity to learn about injury management and prevention, childcare essentials, behavior management, business of babysitting, and how to care for choking child.

The cost for the class is $35.00 and includes a messenger bag containing babysitting items.

The class will take place from 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

BRHC says pre-registration is required and payment is due by Friday, October 13.
